Where oh where is fall?

Here is a little taste of Colorado weather in October for all of you folks who are enjoying fall. Just a little over a week ago we got 10-12" of snow. There aren't many trees out here to block the wind so it drifted pretty bad and I was stuck at the house for 3 days straight! Talk about cabin fever! I almost dug out my knitting needles... ok it wasn't quite that boring ;] I did try to make it to town on Thursday night to get to school better on Friday... I got the 6 miles to the highway following Buck in the truck so he could break the drifts for my car!But I took one look and we turned around and came back home, you couldn't see 5ft!

Buck took my camera to the feedlot when it first started snowing.... A day later he had to use the loader to clear 5-6ft drifts off the bunks!

Talk about a pain in the butt haha! We felt bad for the horses and cattle that were covered in at least an inch of snow and ice!

The boys tryin to help me get to town!
Thinkin I'm pretty brave about now... not for long

You can't really tell but those white round shapes are cattle. They had just arrived the day before from somewhere much warmer I'm sure and they were not very happy!
